Specialist Tutoring

SEND Tailored Tutoring

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) tailored tutoring provides specialised, one-to-one academic support for students with learning differences, EHCPs, or neurodiversity. Our approach combines expert teaching with emotional and behavioural understanding to create an effective and compassionate learning environment:

  • Personalised Learning Plans: Each student undergoes a thorough assessment guiding lessons aligned with their EHCP goals, neurodivergent learning styles, and academic profile.
  • Expert, Trauma-Informed Instruction: Qualified tutors adapt explicit instruction and structured scaffolding techniques to support working memory, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
  • Social–Emotional Growth: Many sessions blend literacy and numeracy with self-regulation, resilience-building exercises, and mentoring, reinforcing confidence and wellbeing.
  • Progress Reporting & Collaboration: We maintain strong communication with parents, teachers, SENCOs, and local authorities, offering regular progress tracking and holistic care.
  • Safe & Supportive Environment: All tutors are DBS-checked, trained in safeguarding, and skilled in delivering predictable, relationship-driven lessons for vulnerable students.

Ideal for students with EHCPs, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH challenges, anxiety, trauma-related learning needs, or school avoidance.

Alternative Provision Tutoring

Alternative Provision (AP) tutoring supports children unable to attend mainstream school due to circumstances like exclusion, illness, mental health issues, or awaiting specialist placements. It provides a structured, nurturing alternative that keeps academic progress on track:

  • Flexible, Bespoke Sessions: Available for 1:1 or small groups, lessons are scheduled flexibly to fit around individual circumstances—whether at home, virtually, or in calm settings.
  • Curriculum-Linked & Holistic: Lessons follow National Curriculum aims while emphasizing foundational skills and personal development—starting from each child’s strengths, not just age expectations.
  • Re-engagement and Reintegration: AP tutoring works to rebuild engagement, boost attendance, and prepare students for reintegration into mainstream or specialist settings.
  • Interagency Collaboration: We maintain close partnerships with schools, local authorities, SENCOs, virtual schools, and mental health professionals to ensure safety, compliance, and support.
  • Trauma-Informed & Emotional Support: Tutors are trained to understand SEMH barriers, promote resilience and self-confidence, and mentor students through their return to learning.

Ideal for students who are medically unable to attend school, excluded, awaiting placements, experiencing anxiety, or engaging in home education.ce.
