Terms & Conditions

Welcome to LBA Tutoring. By booking sessions with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure clarity, fairness, and a positive experience for everyone.

1. Lessons & Bookings

  • Tutoring is available in-person (Hadleigh, Suffolk), online, or through group/school sessions.
  • Sessions are arranged in advance and confirmed by email, phone, or message.
  • Block bookings are available and must be used within the agreed timeframe.

2. Payments

  • Payment can be made by cash, bank transfer, or card.
  • Invoices/receipts are available on request.
  • For block bookings, payment is due at the start of the block unless otherwise agreed.
  • Late or missed payments may result in sessions being paused until payment is received.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full rate.
  • If the tutor needs to cancel a session, it will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.

4. Student Responsibilities

  • Students are expected to attend sessions on time and bring any required materials (e.g. books, notes, devices).
  • For online sessions, students should ensure a stable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free environment.
  • Active participation is encouraged to get the best results from tutoring.

5. Safeguarding & Privacy

  • All tutors hold valid DBS checks and follow safeguarding best practice.
  • Student information and records are kept confidential and used only for educational purposes.
  • For online lessons, parents/guardians are encouraged to ensure an appropriate learning environment.

6. Progress & Outcomes

  • Tutoring is designed to support learning, confidence, and exam preparation.
  • While every effort is made to help students achieve their goals, specific outcomes or grades cannot be guaranteed.

7. Communication

  • Regular feedback will be provided on progress.
  • Parents/guardians are welcome to contact the tutor to discuss student needs or adjustments.

8. Agreement

By booking a session with LBA Tutoring, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
